La Metafora del Piccione is a short film directed by Miguel Murciano in Turin.

Is an essay about love relationships, dressed with some doses of humor and… pigeons.

On this design I have changed a little the style and decided to work without a line, defining the figures only with colors and a soft shadow to add some contrast, and finally making the characters look like cartoons. In general, the design has been inspired by the film posters made by the brilliant Jack Davis, and by the colors and typography of the 60s’ cinema posters.

For the characters I have created previous pencil sketches, the title letters have been directly designed with Inkscape.
